Free parking in downtown San Antonio
Every free window the City of San Antonio lists for downtown, in plain language. Pick a time on the PARQ map and it shows which spots are free then.
Street meters
On-street meters and pay stations are free after 6 PM every day and all day Sunday. They are enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Pay by phone with the SAPark app.
City Tower Sundays
City Tower Garage, 60 N. Flores St., is free on Sundays from 7 AM to midnight. The garage has entrances on Flores St. and Main Ave.
Downtown Thursday
Every Thursday from 5 PM to 2 AM, parking is free in City-owned garages and lots. The City lists this program through the end of 2026. Some exclusions apply:
- On Majestic Theatre show nights, free parking is available at St. Mary's Garage (205 E. Travis St.), except during major Broadway shows and sold-out performances.
- Houston Street Garage (111 College St.) is free on Downtown Thursday for film screenings only. Standard rates apply for other Majestic Theatre events.
- Convention Center Garage: standard rates apply during most conventions.
Some older City pages and news posts still mention Downtown Tuesday. The City's Affordable Parking page lists Thursday as of Oct 13, 2026.
