For the city
PARQ SA is a free map of the downtown San Antonio garages, lots and meters I could verify, with the free parking programs on top. I built it because the question I hear most at my counter on the River Walk is where to park.
What PARQ does
- Puts downtown parking on one map, sorted by price and by walk time to where you are going.
- Sends people to the City. Every meter links to SAPark web pay and the SAPark app. City garages and lots show the City's posted rates, hours and directions, and say to pay by card at the facility.
- Promotes the City's free programs: Downtown Thursday (free 5 PM to 2 AM in City-owned garages and lots, listed through the end of 2026), City Tower Sundays (free 7 AM to midnight), St. Mary's Garage at $5 on weeknights after 5 PM and all weekend, and free on-street parking after 6 PM and all day Sunday. On Thursdays the map opens with a Downtown Thursday strip that links to the City page.
- Links to private garages that sell online only on their own booking pages, and never copies their prices.
Where the data comes from
City rates, hours and free windows come from the City's Downtown Parking Search map and the SAPark pages, last checked Oct 13, 2026. Every spot, its source page and its date are listed on the data sources page.
I read the City pages by hand. The City's websites ask robots to stay away, so PARQ does not crawl them. If the City publishes an open data feed with downtown facilities, rates and free windows, PARQ will use it.
Independent
PARQ is independent. It is not a City service, it is not affiliated with the City of San Antonio, and it does not use the City seal, logo or colors. Rates change, so every spot tells people to check the sign.
What PARQ does not claim
PARQ has no usage numbers to show and makes no claims about impact. It has no accounts and stores no personal data. See the privacy page.
